Wrong side of the island

I was watching 1HQM241 in my rear view mirror and they actually accelerated so they could overtake me on the wrong side of the island over a speed hump. Even with a vehicle coming the other way.
They could have just driven normally and overtaken safely and legally, without inconvenience.
