Car gives absolutely no way to cyclist

I was riding along Clarendon Street when a 4 Wheel Drive pulled out suddenly straight in front of me. I did not have time to brake but turned and hit the vehicle with the left side of my body and fell onto the ground on the right side.

I spent 3 days in hospital with 3 broken ribs and a broken shoulder blade on my left side and gravel rash on my right side.

The bicycle is damaged beyond repair but hopefully his insurance will pay the full costs for a new bike.
