We were riding in the early morning back streets, and a man who was in a screaming hurry split the group by merging into us, and then needed to get past the lead riders urgently...

Passed on the wrong side of a traffic island on a narrow back street, cut back in across the lead riders, and arrived a minute or so later at the end of that road about 0.5s in front of us...
