Distracted teen

I was heading towards Elwood along Marine Parade, passing cars caught in traffic jam, when girl with headphones steps onto road, looking opposite direction. I yell out and she stops just as I tried to slow down. Near miss that could have ended a lot worse if she'd kept walking.
I wasn't expecting that.
