No need to squeeze in

So I am heading Easterly on Yalwal Road towards the intersection of Albatross Road. A car and trailer were stopped at the intersection to turn right, I had my left arm out signalling to go left and was doing around 30kmh. Then this guy with P plates thinks it is wise to pass me and turn left in front of me. Am I not entitled to feel safe. I just shake my head.
