12 Dec, 2024 - 1 year ago - on Brunker Road I was visible to the driver while I rode 130m to the intersection with a very bright flashing headlamp on my helmet. When traffic on the cross road cleared I progressed across the intersection. When I was half way across the intersection, the driver from the opposite side of the street accelerated quickly and turned into me. Result was I have ankle broken in 3 places, broken elbow, other injuries to hand, wrist and legs. Now likely to be >3 months recovery.
Police will be charging driver with negligent driving causing grievous bodily harm.
